Ok, ok so the picture isn’t of a horse but gosh look at those chompers right!a horses teeth are soo important and beneficial to the horse (obviously right!) and the human. For the horse, a good set of even, smooth teeth ensure great mastication can ensue. Basically, he can chew comfortably. Any deviation from that including sharp points, uneven wear, and misalignment can cause trouble for the horse. His ability to chew can be affected which can contribute to weight loss. In addition, teeth that are sharp or a jaw that is maligned or deformed, can adversely affect a horses riding ability.
For the human, teeth are awesome to help determine age. This is especially true when a horse either has no papers or when there are doubts as to whether the papers provided actually “belong” to a particular animal.
