Dressage

Is a display of horsemanship and skill from the rider, and obedience and willingness from the horse.

Cross-Country

The cross-country course is ridden at a gallop, and horses are asked to jump solid obstacles made of logs or brush.

Show Jumping

This phase occurs after the cross-country phase, and is a test of a horse’s stamina and ability to recover.

If you’re an equestrian enthusiast, watching a three-day eventing competition can be a good way to get a crash-course into the world of equine athletics.
